Leida Venegas is the heart and soul behind Dragonfly Bilingual. As an East Oakland native, she has always been passionate about nurturing the minds of young children. With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education and bilingualism, Leida has built a program that blends the best of both worlds—fostering a love of learning while giving children the tools they need to excel in a bilingual environment. Her unique approach draws on child development philosophies such as Montessori and Reggio Emilia, creating an environment where children feel both supported and challenged to reach their full potential.

In addition to her role as a dedicated educator, Leida’s fluency in Spanish and deep connection to her community are central to her mission at Dragonfly Bilingual. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Child Development from the College of Alameda and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Cal State East Bay. Leida’s vision is to continue expanding Dragonfly Bilingual’s reach, offering more families the opportunity to give their children the best start in life. With her guidance, Dragonfly Bilingual remains a place where children not only learn two languages but also grow in confidence and creativity.
